Gaming

Well lately several of the people from class have gotten into Battlefield 1942. Its a pretty cool game so I bought the collector's edition containing all the expansion packs for $20. For a good game with no multiplayer fees, it was well worth it. At the ACM LAN the I found out that I cannot fly and that you can shoot your own plan down from the tail gunners position. Needless to say Mark and I died quick that first time. With my own mouse I can fly a lot better but still not good.

Kisea bought a joystick at Walmart for $20 and said it was pretty good. So I decided why not get into gaming heavier and give it a whirl. I fly a lot better with it, but still manage to crash a fair amount. (Kisea gets a nice life or watching my fly low over a hill and then is say "MadDogGTO is no more") But I am getting better.

We played some today which was awesome. Zach set up a talk server so we can all communicate easier with our teams. My next purchase is a headset. My current setup involves a set of normal headphones with a mic hanging on the cord. I use the cord wrapper (aka bread wrapper) to keep it exactly in place. Looks stupid but does the job temporarily. The gaming is great and I am sure more is to come.

In other news, classes start shortly and my break has not been nearly long enough. I get to have Hain and Simmons at least, possibly Pardue as well.

Well that about covers it all, well at least the good stuff. Till next time.
