Car Trouble
Well most of the end of this week, especially today, has been really bad. Thursday my AC went out so I have been driving around for a bit without it. Its not horribly hot out there but it is hot enough.
Then today my alternator went out and thus my truck died. I don't have a volt meter on my truck so it started by my ABS light coming on and then the air bag light blinking at me. Shortly thereafter I started to loose speed and had to pull over. What makes this even more annoying is I was on the Bay Way when it all happened. It took about 10 minutes for the ALDOT to see me and send a truck to help. In that time I was able to watch all except two automobiles (one 18 wheeler and a car) not change lanes and pass me at 65mph+ less than 2ft away. The DOT truck pushed me off the bridge and I was able to get my dad change my battery and drive to a mechanic.
I did fin out was that it is illegal for someone to come on the bridge to help me out. As in a normal person to come pull me off, etc. Now that makes some sense but the next thing the DOT guy told me just blew my mind -
If I am broke down on the side of the bridge and someone hits me, the person who hit me can sue me. They can sue me as if its my fault that I broke down. The ability to sue is allowed because of a law about stopping while on the bridge. I could not believe that kinda of crap. Stupid people and the laws they make.
People are idiots when driving. They passed in very close proximity to my truck and did not try to move over nor slowed down. The DOT guy that helped me even said he has been hit twice while helping someone and his truck has numerous flashing lights on it.
Trying to end this post of a somewhat good not is that the ALDOT will come help you out at no charge. If you have a flat tire they will come to keep the passing cars off you, give you a gallon of gas if needed, or push/tow you if need. again, all free of charge. Just ask me if you want their dispatch number.

Wouldn't that be 'Truck Trouble' ?
Yeah, I guess if you get technical.
